Managing Director – Eco Paryavaran Group
Dr. Sandeep Garg is the Founder and Managing Director of Eco Paryavaran Group, a distinguished and nationally respected environmental consultancy and engineering organization headquartered in the Mohali–Chandigarh region. With visionary leadership, deep technical expertise and an unwavering commitment to sustainable development, he has led the Group in building strong capabilities across environmental consultancy, laboratory services, in-house manufacturing, sustainable technology development, pollution control systems and water–wastewater infrastructure solutions.
An accomplished environmental engineer with B.E., M.E. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala, Dr. Garg brings over 25 years of rich professional experience in environmental management, pollution control, water and wastewater treatment, regulatory compliance, and ecological restoration. Over the course of his career, he has successfully led and delivered more than 1,000 projects across India in the fields of STPs, ETPs, ZLD systems, water treatment, wastewater recycling, environmental infrastructure and sustainability-linked solutions.
Before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, Dr. Garg served as an Assistant Executive Engineer at Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB), Patiala, where he worked on major hydroelectric and thermal power projects and dealt extensively with environmental and regulatory clearance matters. This early exposure to engineering systems, infrastructure execution, and statutory processes laid the foundation for his practical, solution-oriented and execution-driven leadership style
Under his stewardship, Eco Paryavaran Group has evolved into a trusted name in the environmental sector, known for its integrated and performance-driven approach. The Group’s consultancy division is accredited by QCI-NABET as a Category-A EIA Consultant Organization for preparation of EIA/EMP reports in 12 approved sectors and it also established region's first NABL-accredited environmental laboratory. Under Dr. Garg’s leadership, the Group has consistently advanced research-driven and implementation-focused solutions for industries, institutions, infrastructure projects, and public-sector initiatives, blending scientific excellence, regulatory understanding, innovation and on-ground execution into one comprehensive environmental platform.
He also serves as the Chairman of Environment Matters, the Group’s NGO wing dedicated to pond rejuvenation, afforestation, environmental awareness, school sustainability audits and community-led grassroots action. His professional contributions extend well beyond industry through significant academic, institutional and advisory roles, including Advisor to GMADA in the rank of Chief Engineer, Professor of Practice at Rayat Bahra University, and Member of the Board of Studies at Amity University. He is also associated with esteemed professional bodies, including the Institute of Environment Science & Technology (USA) and the Indian Association for Air Pollution Control, reflecting his continued engagement with the wider environmental and scientific community.
